The itinerary was elaborated in a participative way with the Terreiro de Candomblé Abassà da Deusa Oxum de Idjemim to pay homage to Òsùm Òpárá. For Yalorixá Idjemim, “this little film is meant to touch the hearts of children, young people and adults, encouraging everyone to respect and break the chains of prejudice. Orisha is life, it is joy, it is Axé that is contagious. Òsún offers the Axé of fertility in the creation of the world”, clarifies the mother of the terreiro.

The scenario is experienced in the interior of the São Francisco River, known by the Indigenous peoples as Opará – a river that flows into the sea or a large trickle of water, and which in Yoruba means, space of creation, where everything is born. Still on the itinerary, in the Sertão do Caatinga, where the semi-arid landscape covers up life, the fertility goddess appears, who makes the green of hope sprout and the waters of the river that feeds lives, Òsùm offers help for the birth of the son of humanity and it is in the purity of its waters that life is transformed.

The Project is promoted by Àbassá da Deusa Osùn de Idjemim, financed by the Arts Calendar of the Bahia State Government Department of Culture. Directed by filmmaker Pâmela Peregrino and produced by Alzeni Tomáz, the film had a partnership with Instituto Acção and SABEH – Sociedade Brasileira de Ecologia Humana.
