The state of Bahia is promoting a festival dedicated exclusively to the art of animation. It is an incentive for a cultural exchange with the chance to show what is being produced in our country and see what is being done abroad. The program includes a Competitive Exhibition and an Invited Exhibition of national and international animation films, in addition to masterclasses and animation workshops for beginners and professionals. The festival had its first edition in 2021 and had as its theme the word “Sawubona”, which is a greeting from the KwaZulu-Natal community, coastal province of South Africa. Sawubona means “I see you, you are important to me and I value you”.
