The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) is one of the main higher education institutions in Brazil. Within UFPE, there is a group called Cintia, made up of women from the Centro de Inform\u00e1tica, whose main purpose is to create a support network for all women studying in this area.<\/p>

Cintia aims to encourage female participation in the areas of science, technology and computing, which are still predominantly male. The group seeks to promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for women, offering support, exchange of experiences and mutual strengthening. It recognizes the challenges faced by women in these areas and works to overcome gender barriers and stereotypes by encouraging women’s active participation and valuing their contributions.<\/p>
