Diversity and inclusion

Since 2017, the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA) has been developing the Women in STEAM²D Project in partnership with Johnson & Johnson. The objective of this project is to promote initiatives that strengthen the participation of women in areas related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics and design (STEAM²D).

ITA, through this project, offers capacity building opportunities for female students, including participation in courses and workshops. These activities aim to expand students’ knowledge and skills in these areas, preparing them to face the challenges and opportunities of the STEAM²D field. ITA, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, has been committed to promoting gender equality and increasing the representation of women in traditionally male-dominated fields.

The Project is an important initiative in this sense, offering support and opportunities for students to stand out and contribute significantly in the areas of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and design.
