Al\u00e9m do texto, refletimos sobre a materialidade do livro hom\u00f4nimo \u00e0 pe\u00e7a, publicado em 1980. Evidenciamos nessa publica\u00e7\u00e3o uma aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o com elementos da literatura de cordel, notadamente na capa, na diagrama\u00e7\u00e3o do texto em estrofes e na linguagem. As cr\u00edticas sobre Bumba, meu queixada veiculadas em jornais e no pr\u00f3prio livro foram objetos do nosso estudo.
