Al\u00e9m de comunicar, o figurino \u00e9 essencial para reconhecimento das personagens, uma vez que \u00e9 capaz de delimitar \u00e9poca, classe social, ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o, idade, personalidade e, aliados \u00e0s cores, ajudam a alcan\u00e7ar o impacto dram\u00e1tico pretendido. Em O Auto da Compadecida (2000) as composi\u00e7\u00f5es crom\u00e1ticas das indument\u00e1rias influenciam e contribuem na constru\u00e7\u00e3o da narrativa, transmitindo mensagens e caracterizando as personagens. Essa paleta colabora tamb\u00e9m para o estabelecimento da rela\u00e7\u00e3o do espectador com o filme, j\u00e1 que as cores provocam sensa\u00e7\u00f5es e significa\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00f3prias.
